Asian e-Athletes To Carry Olympic Torch, Give Tibetans The e-Finger
April 21, 2008
Two of the Global Gaming League’s elite “e-athletes,” South Korea’s Jae Ho “Moon” Jang and China’s Li “Sky” Xiaofeng, will haul the Olympic torch during the opening ceremonies for the Olympic games this August. Their formidable Warcraft III skills earned them the right to take part in the prestigious event. Those same talents proooobably wouldn’t come in so handy if they had to deal with protest-busters like the righteously indignant hordes clamoring for Tibetan freedom or even a handful of mildly retarded field mice. But they won’t have to worry so much. That kind of touchy-feely, basic humans rights shit doesn’t seem to fly in downtown Beijing. If they want to impress us, they should play their next tournament while getting alternately dragged by their ankles and hit with fire hoses.
