Saints Row 2 Ad Proves That Everything Really Is Funnier In German

A German trailer for Saints Row 2 has hit the Interwebs. The pitchman is no Gary Busey. But, if there were more than one Gary the earth would probably collapse on itself. We’d like to personally thank THQ Germania or whoever the hell pulled the trigger on this ad. The Ten Commandments Of Metal Gear

We’re not talking about anything to do with the Old Testament here. Destructoid has put up a list of Top Ten Golden Rules to help gamers predict what they’ll see in the new title as well as temper any expectations. Yes, you will have watched every piece of significant gameplay in a cut scene or trailer prior to release. Yes, you will see an enemy taking a dump. And yes, no matter what kind of plot twists or characters Hideo Kojima introduces from immortal, water-walking bisexuals to a chain-gun toting Inuit shaman, everyone’s going to love every second of it.

The Onion Points Its Satire Stinkfinger At The Liberty City Police Department

Add another pop culture notch to the Rockstar bedpost. GTA IV characters already made it onto Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update segment (video after the jump). Now the Liberty City PD has an investigative feature in The Onion. The piece lays out the gripes of Liberty City residents and offers excuses for the waves of crime and violence such as limited pursuit and the deaths of 850,000 in-game officers. It’s an entertaining read but it doesn’t hold up to Kurt Beckman’s op-ed, I Fucked My Way Into This Mess, And I’ll Fuck My Way Out. Read the rest of this entry »

Grace Park Doesn’t Know A Damn Thing About Robots, And It Doesn’t Matter

Not that we think a lack of robot knowledge is a problem. You could possibly debate whether or not Grace Park is America’s sexiest Cylon. Tricia Helfer is in the running, but the whole marriage thing is an added obstacle. We already have beauty, fame, and most probably a high tech home security system to overcome. Why add matrimony? Check out the video of her taking a quiz on the ‘bots of pop culture. She doesn’t exactly score many points, at least until she makes the guy doing the interview do the robot.
