Sledgehammer, Meet Controller, Controller, Meet Sledgehammer

September 03, 2008

preandpostsledge Sledgehammer, Meet Controller, Controller, Meet Sledgehammer
When it’s a slow news day, fall back on the old standards: baseless vitriol and breaking shit with sledge hammers and for slo-mo replay. Since the bile factor is running low, check out the video of the editors at GamesRadar giving some controllers the business after the jump. Ten bucks says someone uttered the phrase, “I just want to break something pretty,” at least once. Maxim went the distance when they employed an actual super slo-mo rig (and at least one female). But hey, their project was in the name of science. Read the rest of this entry »

Glen Schofield Talks Dead Space, Probably Good At Arm Wrestling

August 11, 2008

glenschofield Glen Schofield Talks Dead Space, Probably Good At Arm WrestlingEric Bush over at PlanetXbox360 got some camera time with Dead Space executive producer Glen Schofield. In order to better wrap his head around the concept of the horror genre, Schofield sought out Wes Craven and Eli Roth to pick their brains. He admits that Craven had more of a philosophical definition of horror while Roth was more about straight up torture porn. Not so surprisingly, they’re already kicking around the idea of the sequel. I’m sure Schofield will get to it in between reps of preacher curls.

Legendary Shows Off Some Nasty Three-Way Action

July 09, 2008

legendary-screenshot Legendary Shows Off Some Nasty Three-Way Action
Gamecock recently announced that Legendary will hit shelves later this summer. Till then you can whet your appetite for bloody mythical mayhem with the latest trailer for the game which shows off some three-way battle footage between main character Charles Deckard, pissed off mythological beasts and a secret society bent on capturing said beasts and bending them to their will. If the footage (after the jump) of the werewolf beating a guy like a rented mule is any indication, that plan doesn’t seem to be working in the short term. Read the rest of this entry »

Industrial Laser Tattoos, Catch The Fever

July 07, 2008

laser_tattoo Industrial Laser Tattoos, Catch The Fever
A guy referring to himself as Tetranitrate has raised the bar on DIY tattoos. Of course instead of getting his art in a federal correctional facility he has access to an industrial laser. In his comment thread on Instructables, Tetra intimates that he has no idea how long the etchings will stay on his skin. But that shit is definitely sticking around for the near future. While getting a Space Invader looks painful, the industrial laser tat looked a lot cooler when Marathon put an “M” on his face in Strikeforce: Mortiuri. If you don’t understand that reference, get thee to a comic convention. Hit the jump to watch the video. Read the rest of this entry »
