Forbes Calls GTA IV A Kick In The Wii’s Nuts

Grand Theft Auto has fueled the standard controversy babble from the pulled ad campaigns to politicians screaming out about the lack of morality, and even MADD. The money-minded dudes at Forbes think it will cause an even bigger stir in the console wars. The game is a kick square in the Wii’s nuts. Well, they weren’t that colorful. They have journalistic standards.
Nintendo’s next gen console has gone from low-tech, red-headed stepchild of the video game industry to the dominant console in the last two years. But without much in the way of onboard memory or even HD graphics the Wii could finally start to lose ground. Rockstar didn’t bother putting out a version of GTA IV on the Wii. Sony’s next major blockbuster, Metal Gear Solid 4 will come on a Blu-ray disc packing 80 gigs worth of information, is a PS3 exclusive. If this is the trend (and it looks like it is), how long can the Wii stand and trade gut punches with the 360 and the PS3?
