Asian-flavored pop culture mag Giant Robot recently wrapped up their latest art show GAME OVER: Art of the Video Game Generation in San Francisco. The show featured work including sculpture, prints, and at least one leather pillow constructed to look like an Atari cartridge. Artists such as William Buzzell, Ako Castuera, Snaggs, and several other artists down with blending the line separating video games and traditional art forms. Format Magazine has an interview with one of the show’s co-founders, Luke Martinez. He gives a little background info on how the show spawned off of Jon Gibson’s I-Am-8-Bit as a well as a few highlights from the show. Hit the jump to check a few pics.

It will be a while before an oil painting of Ms Pac-Man shows up in the Lourve but these pieces are a damn sight better than the scribbles you left in your middle-school Trapper Keeper.
