God Of War Creator David Jaffe Likes Flower, Ripping Off The Flick Seven
August 19, 2008
David Jaffe, the ever outspoken developer behind God of War has honeybee hard on for Flower. Well, according to a post on his personal site he was moved by the title. And not just because Flower developer That Game Company has employed a sonic bath of rasping grasses, soft zephyrs and tinkling wind chimes to entrance gamers with what would basically what would constitute the soundtrack for a My Little Pony hardcore porn.
Jaffe actually points that out as a design cheat to elicit a certain response from gamers and compares it to the time he ripped off the look of movies like Seven to add some gravitas to Twisted Metal Black. Too bad he never had Sweet Tooth scream, “What’s in the box? Ahh…what’s in the bahhhhx?” But that’s not that aspect that has Jaffe jazzed. And he’s not giving up the goods on what exactly has him stoked on the title but you can read his full post here.
Personally I think it’s a combination of a game played from the real perspective of Sonic the Hedgehog and more flower petals at your feet than the King of Zumunda Jaffe Joffer. That’s how you bring it back Jaffe to Jaffe, circle of life bitches!
Flower will be available sometime in the near future exclusively on the PlayStation Network
