Howard Stringer Admits The PS3 Was On The Ropes
May 29, 2008
In a video interview with Wall Street Journal tech wonk, Walt Mossberg, Howard Stringer, Lord of Blu-ray and the head of Sony, admitted that his crowd came close to sticking a fork in the PS3. Specifically Stringer said the PS3 was, “on life support for a while.” To his credit, Stringer speaks openly on everything from battling Apple’s iPod to taking Mossberg’s barbs about the “crapplets” Sony loads onto their line of PCs. The only thing he doesn’t seem to respond to is the walk out music by The Vapors, “Turning Japanese.”
