Insomniac Games Sets Up In Epic’s Backyard
June 04, 2008
For those of you that care enough about games to keep track of studio expansion, Insomniac will set up a new shop in the Raleigh-Durham area of North Cackalacky in January. Insomniac honcho, Ted Price formally announced the news on the PlayStation blog.
During a live interview on Eurogamer.com, Price predicting going yard on Cliff Bleszinski’s much ballyhooed Gears 2 saying, “One big differentiating factor between R2 and all other games coming out this fall is that Resistance 2 has eight-player online co-op mode which should offer a VERY different experience for you and your friends.” R2 will feature 8-way co-op, while Epic has yet to divulge any more info on Gears. OK, so technically this doesn’t qualify as smack talk. But if Price gets a hankering for jalapeno poppers and heads into Chili’s one night and Cliff’s there…things are gonna get awwwwkward.
Jesus, it’s a slow news day.
