Central Park wants to fuck you up. Actually it’s some kind of critter dwelling beneath the surface that’s causing the problems. Gamers assume the role of Edward Camby in this survival thriller. Besides the big nasty you also have to contend with some Illuminati-esque whack jobs. The game features combat combined with some puzzle-platform elements. And, if things get too hard, you can skip entire segments of the game using the chapter menu. Sally. PS3 owners will have to wait till the Fall. www.atari.com
Battlefield: Bad Company

Go to war and reap its spoils with Bad Company, the latest in the Battlefield line from EA’s crew of Swede’s at the Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment studio. EA released a Gold edition ($69) that gives gamers instant access to five weapons. Plebians who buy the standard version ($59) will get the weapons but only after leveling up.
