Bayonetta Delivers The Bullet-To-Angel-Cranium-Action You’ve Always Wanted
May 15, 2008
Platinum and Sega announced their sweaty corporate coupling and the three digital buns in their ovens: Bayonetta (PS3, Xbox 360), MadWorld (Wii) and Infinite Loop (DS). Of the three new titles, Bayonetta clearly has the best chance of turning into another flick with Kate Beckinsale in a latex suit. Consequently it also runs the risk of being directed by Uwe Boll. The main character of Bayonetta is a leathered up witch with guns strapped to all four extremities and a mission to knock the brains out and halo off of every angel that comes across her path. The fact that she can pull this off wearing six-inch platform heels should be an inspiration to strippers across the land.
Bayonetta is set for a 2009 release. The Platinum / Sega braintrust will fire out MadWorld for the Wii, a Sin City-esque action game sometime in the first quarter of 2009. Infinite Loop, an RPG for the Nintendo DS will follow sometime the same year. We’ll keep you posted when we figure out more news.
