Gearheads who bought the new driving wheel from Logitech before Gran Turismo Prologue hit shelves will get another chance at proving their zealotry. Nissan and Sony have teamed up to host GT Academy, an eight-month competition aimed at finding the best Gran Turismo Prologue jockeys in Europe.

Two winners will enter a four-month program to get their racing license followed by a chance to get behind the wheel of a Nissan 350Z at the 24 Hours of Dubai endurance race. We’re sure the transition from “advanced force feedback” on the Logitech to real world racing in a high-performance NISMO will be silky smooth! Coincidentally, a German man recently died competing in a mountain bike race, also called the 24 Hours of Dubai and sponsored by Nissan. We’re not trying to connect any dots here, but it only adds to the bizarre feeling that this Sony-Nissan program is based on the plot of Spies Like Us.
