Next month 2K will crank up its fourth annual traveling music fest, the 2K Sports Bounce Tour, featuring Q-Tip and The Cool Kids (pictured above) as the headliners with The Knux opening each night. The Cool Kids have already made at least one appearance for 2K during their NBA 2K9 launch event in NYC as well as recording “2K Pennies” for the game’s soundtrack. L.A.’s Pacific Division and everyone’s favorite “Alpha Platinum 9000 android” Janelle Monae will make a few appearances on select dates. The tour starts off in Chicago at the House of Blues and rolls throughout the country hitting 19 venues over the course of the month. 2K will have their games on hand as well as give away that thing that all gamers cherish, video game swag.
