Atari Buys The Rights To Fire Up The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man

October 30, 2008

ghostbusters_staypuft_ Atari Buys The Rights To Fire Up The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man
Ghostbusters has broken out of publishing purgatory with news that Atari has picked up the rights to publish the game. Originally slated as a Sierra title, Ghostbusters was sidelined when Activision-Blizzard took over Sierra’s catalog when Vivendi Games (or whoever owned the imprint) stuck a fork in the brand. Now gamers will get a chance to assume the role of a new “fifth” ghostbuster and kick the shit out of supernatural beings. No news on whether or not the developers at Terminal Reality have talked Rick Moranis into joining the rest of the cast.

Genaro De Sia Gives Atari 2600 Graphics A Bit Of An Upgrade

July 08, 2008

atari_girl_surround Genaro De Sia Gives Atari 2600 Graphics A Bit Of An UpgradeVenezuelan artist Genaro De Sia, aka Surround, has created some game-flavored art for his ATARI is Hot series of prints. The brief descriptions of the pieces on his deviantART page indicate that he modeled the girls after Kari Sweets and Keyra Agustina. Sweets runs a members-only site but there’s no nudity so it’s totally classy. A search for Agustina will turn up video evidence of a taut, well-shaped and sometimes lightly misted rump, but no visual confirmation of a head. As you can see in the pic above De Sia did not really spend a lot of time on the girl’s face. Prints range from $80 to a mere two bucks. Buy one and send it to Nolan Bushnell.
