C&C Red Alert 3: In A World Without Nukes, At Least There Are Armored Bears

The storyline of Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 revolves partly around a mad scientist played by Peter Stormare (better known as Karl Hungus) mucking around with the space-time continuum. Somewhere along the way Albert Einstein gets eliminated from the historical picture which takes tactical nukes out of the military playbook. But that’s not to say that war in the world of Red Alert 3 can’t be a good time. The wrinkle in time results in new materiel like armored War Bears, Proton Colliders, Psionic Decimators and Orbital Drops. Hit the jump to check out the new trailer of weaponry. EA Cans Production Of C&C Shooter, Tiberium

Unfortunate news in video game development land. EA has closed down production on the first person shooter offshoot of Command & Conquer, Tiberium. According to a post on Kotaku (they also got their hands on an internal memo circulated to the internal development team) the game just wasn’t up to par and wasn’t going to get there by its intended release date in 2010.

It’s more than a little disappointing that EA can find the money to hire a dozen high-priced actors to make dance remix videos of Command & Conquer Red Alert cut scenes but doesn’t want to spend the cash on fixing the kinks in Tiberium. The real lesson here? Even the C&C brand isn’t enough to support a game if it isn’t already firmly lodged in the warm, sales-generating bedrock that is Gemma Atkinson’s cleavage.

Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Time To Stick It To Cancun

The upcoming real time strategy title Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 hits the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 at the end of October. And with it comes a bucket of weird. The storyline involves the Russkies traveling back in time to try and regain world dominance. And, judging by the trailer, it looks like one of the main battlegrounds will be in the backyard of Senor Frog’s in Cancun. Maybe they’ll throw in a few cut scenes with the curvaceous Gemma Atkinson as Lt. Eva McKenna serving up tequila shooters. Hit the jump to check the video from the ongoing Beta test. Gemma Atkinson Brings Her Talents (Both Of Them) To C&C 3: Red Alert

EA is going international with their cast for cutscenes in Command & Conquer 3: Red Alert. Brit soap opera starlet Gemma Atkinson will bring her acting talents and a striking ability to fill out lingerie to the RTS strategy game due out this October. She’ll play the role of Lt. Eva McKenna on the Allied side of the fence opposite of Gina Carano’s Natasha Volkova. You might recognize Carano from her stint on American Gladiators as “Crush” or pummeling women into submission on CBS.
