Bruce Willis Wants To Bring The Bald To Kane & Lynch

June 04, 2008

Variety reported that Bruce Willis is “negotiating” to star as Adam “Kane” Marcus in the movie adaptation of Kane & Lynch: Dead Men. Seeing as he’s one of the producers we’re guessing the negotiation part only has to do with his rake and not whether or not he’ll get the role. Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter, the producers for the film adaptation of Hit Man (sucked!) have signed on as well. Take that for whatever it’s worth. Kane & Lynch moved around two million copies with middling reviews. Eidos also managed to stir up enough controversy to get their ads banned in Britain. No word on who will play the role of Lynch. If there was ever a time for Ashton Kutcher to grow a mullet, it’s now.

Brits Stage Witch Hunt For Kane & Lynch

The island nation known for lapses in dental hygiene, hooliganism and a solid record of kicking the ever loving shit out of the Irish have turned their ire to Kane & Lynch. Britain’s Advertising Standards Authority has banned print and television ads for the game on the basis that they are too graphic. A story in the Guardian quoted the ASA ruling as stating, “Grittier and nastier in tone than anything you’ve seen before, the violence here is visceral, brutal and very, very real.” Eidos offered up an apology to the people of the British Isles, hung up the phone and went out for steaks and a trip to the jiggle hut to get titty slapped till dawn. You can’t buy this kind of advertising.
