Marc Ecko Entertainment kicked off the announcement of the new Dexter game for the Apple iPhone with a party at the Showtime House in New York City’s Gramercy Park. Complex cover girls Olivia Munn and Aubrey O’Day came out for the debut (pics after the jump) as well as former Dexter cast member Erik King (Sgt. James Doakes ). At the party flat screens displayed a few environment shots, the first an only images from the game so far. But Marc Fernandez, VP of Marc Ecko Entertainment, shared a few details in an interview today saying, “We’ve begun full development and are looking to release in February 09. Right now the plan for the game is to release solely on the iPhone but we’re interested in looking at other platforms. As with any game, expanding across platforms is a business decision. Right now we’re dedicated to making Dexter the premiere gaming title for the iPhone.”

When asked about the details of cast members who could contribute to the game Fernandez said, “The gameplay will focus around the first season of Dexter. Right now we don’t have any announcements but we are in talks with members of the actual cast.” Hit the jump for the video from Showtime’s Comic Con event. Michael C. Hall seems to have a theory as to what should go in the game.

dexter Marc Ecko To Deliver Dexter Game As An iPhone Exclusive
Today Marc Ecko officially announced the iPhone and iPod Touch as the platforms to host the Dexter game currently in development. Ecko dropped the news of his partnership with Showtime back in March. Today at Comic-Con Ecko revealed that the games will come in the form of episodic content rather than a single download and incorporate the Apple touchscreen, motion-based controls and phone calls. No real details on the gameplay have been released. But hopefully players will get a chance to kill off Dexter’s sister. What? It’s a game about sociopaths. Don’t judge.
