Don’t know your Liquid Snake from your Revolver Ocelot? Sony has announced a free Metal Gear Database launching on today on the PlayStation store. The application will serve as a kind of interactive encyclopedia covering the entire run of the series. Hopefully even Hideo Kojima will look through it and wonder if he really named some of the characters. We’re guessing it would probably be a similar experience to someone reminding Stephen King that he wrote a particular book. While the database runs all the way through the current game, Sony blacked out any spoilers until you make it to the final credits of Metal Gear Solid 4. Good luck with that.
