Chris Long To EA: “I Don’t Have A Gut.”

We sat down with former Virginia defensive end, Chris Long, a few days before the NFL Draft at EA’s event in NYC. He didn’t notch any of the covers of NCAA 09 and he had a few minor issues with his virtual representation on the field. Specifically he seemed a little confused over his in-game gut. Getting picked second in the draft by the St. Louis Rams should help deal with any indignity suffered at the hands of EA.

Jake Long, The Dolphins’ $30 Million Dollar Man

We interviewed Jake Long at EA’s Draft Weekend event, just days before the Dolphins (officially) made the former Michigan offensive lineman the number one pick in the draft and the wealthiest kid to come out of Lapeer East High School. We talked with Long about video games, appearing in NCAA 09 and what he’s going to buy with his $57.75 million dollar contract…ah, fuck it. Writing down that kind of figure makes writing anything else seem insignificant.

Owen “Runaway Beer Truck” Schmitt On Grabbing His NCAA 09 Cover

After earning the nickname, “the runaway beer truck,” in the Fiesta Bowl, Owen Schmitt made his way into the NFL and onto the cover of the PSP edition of NCAA 09. BC’s Matt Ryan Covers NCAA 09 For The PS3

EA revealed their third cover, naming Boston College QB Matt Ryan as their pick for the cover of NCAA 09′ for the PS3. We caught up with their first cover subject, Arkansas RB Darren McFadden when they announced his mug covering the Xbox 360 version. This weekend EA will host an NFL Draft party and possibly a new cover. We’re guessing it will be a kid who will be around $10 million dollars richer by next week.

Darren McFadden Notches Cover Of NCAA Football 09

Life ain’t too bad for Darren McFadden. The former Arkansas Razorback running back blew Adrian Peterson’s 40-yard dash time at the combine and is just about a lock for the number one pick and more cash than 99.9% of the planet will ever see. EA made him their number one pick when they tapped McFadden for the cover of the Xbox 360 version of NCAA Football 09. Click the jump for our interview.
