When Soulcalibur IV released earlier this year the hi-def console versions came with one exclusive character. PS3 owners got Darth Vader while the Xbox 360’s default green color scheme earned its owners Yoda. Now gamers can buy Darth and Yoda for the equivalent of five bucks on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace.

There was a point during the era of the PlayStation 2, Gamecube, and the original Xbox that it seemed like fighting games had become archaic relics of the past. But thanks to integrated online, which makes it easier than ever to find a fight even when no one’s around, button brawlers are making a comeback in a big way. Namco Bandai dropped some new screens of the “secret apprentice” from the upcoming Star Wars title The Force Unleashed cutting up in Soulcalibur IV. That raises the Jedi count to three for the series. Unfortunately, due to exclusivity contracts gamers will only get (at most) two Jedi per console. Xbox 360 users get to drive Yoda while PS3 owners will roll strictly old-school with Vader.
