With all the spoiled multi-millionaire players and ’roid rage going on, sometimes it seems like watching Little League baseball is way more fun than the jaded MLB professionals. Every August, we tune into the lil’ sluggers on ESPN, where teams from around the world to converge in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania for the Little League World Series.

So it’s probably a smart move for Activision to reinvigorate the baseball genre with Little League World Series Baseball 2008, which drops this August on the Wii and DS. With 16 different US or international teams, the game features customizable characters and exaggerated action straight out of an anime flick. Hit the jump to watch the debut trailer.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is also coming out for Nintendo’s ubiquitous Wii console, which opened up a whole new interactive aspect to the development team at Krome Studios. “The biggest challenge for us was to take this massive game and make the lightsaber and all of the Force powers work as well as we could on the Wii,” said Dan Wassen, producer of the Wii game. Granted the concept is not completely new. We took a pair of Penthouse Pets to GDC 2008 to interview game industry execs and completely topless Wii vids have already come and gone. sniper-studios Have The Crab Boat Shows Gone Too Far?Sniper Studios released a new trailer for an unnamed Wii project. It’s clear however that the game involves a murder and…crab fishing. Isn’t this going a little far? The crab craze started with an article by some participatory journalist (we’ll just guess Sebastian Junger) going out to go fishing with the crab boats. Then came the requisite reality shows like Deadliest Catch and Rock of Love. Well, only one of those shows involve boats but we’re guessing they both feature crabs of some sort.
