The Dark Knight Finally Steps Into The Light

Gary Oldman inadvertently blew the lid off of the existence of an unnamed Batman title in the works during a video interview with G4TV. I figured the developer would have come clean at Comic Con this year. Turns out all parties involved were waiting on the cover of Game Informer to hit stands to reveal Batman: Arkham Asylum. Eidos and Warner Bros. will publish, Rocksteady is handling the development as well as the odd countdown mechanism thingamajig on their site. The press release is billing the PS3 and Xbox 360 title as “a haunting action detective game.” No word on whether or not you’ll be able to kidnap a boy from the circus and dress him up in gayly colored leggings and capes.

This is just awesome, I love the idea that they want to do a solid batman game. I just hope it doesn’t turn out like Batman Rise of Sin Tsu.
