The Punisher: No Mercy Announced As A PSN Exclusive

Sony has officially announced an exclusive title based around Marvel Comics character the Punisher as a PlayStation Network exclusive. Rumors of the game started when Kotaku spotted a post on Marvel’s game blog, The Danger Room. Now the The Punisher: No Mercy, in development by Zen Studios, is official.
The tenor of the current stable of PSN-only titles has officially skewed towards vicious. PixelJunk Eden did a good job of balancing out Siren but now the little grimps will have to share hard drive space with the most homicidal character in the Marvel Universe. According to the post on the PlayStation Blog, No Mercy is an FPS title running off the Unreal Engine. The game will feature a roster of B-team villains like Jigsaw, Bushwacker and Barracuda. In other words, Marvel is throwing plenty of cannon fodder for Frank Castle to eviscerate. The only questions that remain are when does it release and will they fit in any Guitar Hero ads during torture scenes?
