#3 The Three Amigos, The Three Amigos
The people of Santo Poco needed heroes and all they got were Dusty Bottoms (Chevy Chase), Lucky Day (Steve Martin) and Ned Nederlander (Martin Short), the Three Amigos. The flick followed the standard 1980s formula: unlikely and reluctant heroes rally some downtrodden folk against an overpowering enemy and thanks to the work featured in a three-minute A-Team-esque montage of making shit. In the end, The Three Amigos vanquished El Guapo but violated a merc commandment when they turned down the villagers’ gold. Those sombreros aren’t going to gild themselves you know.
