#1 Mr Joshua, Lethal Weapon
The number one mercenary to ever fire a fictional bullet for money has to be Mr. Joshua. Played by Gary Busey sometime before completely losing his mind, Mr. Joshua was the kind of mercenary that wasn’t afraid to take on a special forces operative in hand to hand combat or wear a white cardigan on desert strike mission. Hell, if you’re paying he’ll even let you sear his forearm with a cigarette lighter. You think the guys at Blackwater would go that extra mile? No way. Mr. Joshua, you are the number one Media Merc, right up to the point where Danny Glover and that anti-Semite lush killed you on a suburban lawn.

Did we miss any good mercs? Leave’em in the comments section. And no, the French Legion doesn’t count.
