You Don’t Know Crap About FIFA

As far as headlines go, the above might be a little broad. But trying to fit, “FIFA producer David Rutter’s soccer sim knowledge pisses on your soccer sim knowledge from a great height” into a header was just too ambitious if not more precise. PlanetXbox360 caught up with Rutter, who has produced 12 other soccer sims in his career, to talk about FIFA 09 specifically the massive 10 v 10 online play. And just so you know, the mongloid above (reproduced with striking detail) is Wayne Rooney.
FIFA rookies could have to suffer a bit of a learning curve if this is the first year they’re lacing up the boots. “New players will want to experience this because 10 vs 10 in a sports game has never been done before. A newcomer will probably get a bit of a battering from some young upstart in Europe who knows the game and sport inside out,” says Rutter. “With 10v10 you can team up with your friends and share the humiliation or the success. Basically it gives you some hands to hold in the online space, and it’s a great deal of fun, even if you don’t take it too seriously.”
